Consulting Service AgreementsOver the years, we have heard from clients that they want more individualized attention to their particular situations, as well as confirmation that the decisions they are making are correct. More than that, they want direct access to a certain amount of our time on a regular basis. In response, we have designed three types of Consulting Service Agreements that allow clients first access to us to make inquiries and receive specific question/problem resolution relating to federal tax withholding and reporting requirements with regard to nonresident alien tax compliance issues. Institutions that participate in our Consulting Service Agreements will also receive regular updates of important developments in this area of the law, case study reviews, sharing of questions/answers from other institutions (on a no-names basis). And, because these institutions have committed to achieving and maintaining compliance, they will receive discounts on our books and standard workshop registrations. General Consulting Service AgreementInstitutions may make an unlimited number of inquiries for specific problem resolution. After the discussion, the institution may wish to have a written confirmation of the conclusion to document an individual's file. Institutions also receive immediate notification of new developments or changes to this area of the tax law. Comprehensive Consulting Service AgreementIn addition to the elements of the General agreement, the Comprehensive Agreement includes four days per year of on-site consulting. The time spent on-site may be used by the institution for any purpose - targeting training (as described above), departmental workshops, policy and procedure review, review of files and/or reclassification, review of computer systems, etc. Concentrated Consulting Service AgreementIn addition to the elements of the General agreement, the Concentrated Agreement includes (i) four days per year of on-site consulting, (ii) one Standard Training Workshop, (iii) one International Student and Scholar Workshop, and (iv) Form 1042-S year-end production file review (as described above). The on-site consulting time may be used by the institution for any purpose - targeting training (as described above), departmental workshops, policy and procedure review, review of files and/or classification, review of computer systems, etc. For More InformationTo discuss how Arctic can assist your institution in better managing its nonresident alien tax compliance issues or to obtain a proposal for services, please Contact Us at 202.223.4583.
